Our Beginning Ceramics Pottery Class is designed to lay the foundational skills in throwing on the pottery wheel. Over a five week period this course will cover, throwing functional ceramics, trimming and glaze application. This Los Angeles ceramics class is an excellent choice for beginners with no experience and those with previous wheel experience who would like to refine basic pottery wheel skills.
The beginning ceramics pottery class includes 25lbs of clay, glazes and firing. A beginner pottery tool kit is required for this class, which includes a bucket, sponge, wire tool, wood rib, wooden knife, metal rib, needle tool, ribbon tool. Additional clay may be purchased at the studio if needed.
Open studio time is available during normal business hours, (Tues – Sat) throughout the duration of the class. At the end of each course, there is a two week grace period to ensure all works in progress are completed. This is an adult class and no previous wheel experience is required. - 5 classes of instruction
- 25lbs of clay
- studio glazes and firing included with the class fee
- Open Studio throughout the duration of the class plus 2 additional weeks.
( Open Studio Begins at the start of the first class and ends two weeks after the last class. There is no wheel throwing during the final two weeks of open studio. The final two weeks are for finishing uncompleted works in progress. Open studio is during business hours only and there is no instruction )
